Resumen
Las lesiones musculoesqueléticas son un grupo de trastornos que afectan la calidad de vida de las personas, siendo más frecuentes en los músculos isquiotibiales, aductores, cuádriceps y de la pantorrilla. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar prevalencia y factores de riesgo de las lesiones musculoesqueléticas de la selección de fútbol de la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Se trata de una investigación de campo con enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y descriptiva, con una muestra de 100 jugadores.

Abstract
Musculoskeletal injuries are a group of disorders that affect people's quality of life, being more frequent in the hamstring, adductor, quadriceps and calf muscles. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence and risk factors of musculoskeletal injuries in the soccer team of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador. This is a field research with a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive approach, with a sample of 100 players.
